Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Brazoria County Court Docket does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained as needed to answer it. We keep correspondence within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a visitor loads a page:
- Page-view dates and times
- IP address associated with the device
- Operating system and device category
- Browser name and version
- Referring website, when one is supplied
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that activity into broader usage measurements. A browser can refuse cookies, although disabling them may change how some site features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a query to the outside service selected by the visitor
- Maintain site availability, speed, and basic operation
- Find and correct performance or technical faults
- Measure which resources visitors use most
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
No database of Brazoria County dockets or personal case records is hosted, maintained, compiled, or sold here. The site provides directions to the District Clerk, County Clerk, local courts, county Odyssey access, and re:SearchTX. Visitor information is not assembled into reports about other people, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern any data submitted to those tools. We do not control those choices. Read the applicable provider policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to safeguard the data we collect. But nothing connected to the internet is bulletproof. We do what we can to keep your information secure, though we cannot promise a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has shared data with us, reach out and we'll delete it right away.
Your Data Rights
Texas consumer-protection law may provide rights that depend on the facts. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs many government records, while judicial case records follow court rules such as Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12. Those laws do not make this private website a government records custodian. At a minimum, visitors can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices change. A revision becomes available on this page and carries an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
Effective date: September 7, 2026
